Creativity is Messy and I'm VERY Creative!
This past weekend, I attend the annual Doodlebug Retreat. The retreat starts on Friday night and goes until Sunday afternoon. The hold it at the VUJC gym, we crop in the actual gym, eat in the cafeteria, take class in the cafeteria, and sleep on the walking track above the gym. Sara Vaal and I along with some girls that she works with and Sash Denu you we have meet through other scrapbooking event all attended this year. Sara and I only attended the Saturday/Sunday crop. We arrived around 9 am on Saturday and scraped until 3 am Sunday morning. We then slept until 7:30 am and were up and ready to crop some more, we scrapped until around noon on Sunday and they started packing it up, after the final door prizes at 1pm we returned home. It was an awesome weekend! I got about 23 pages done, which was wonderful but not as many as I would have liked to have gotten done. But when do I ever get everything that I want to get done, done? They give away some amazing prizes, and I won quit a few this year, which is always a good thing! They also had, Ken Oliver from Unibind come to show us how to use the unibind machine! It was a very neat machine, it makes hardcover, bound books. I am definitely asking for one for Christmas. I am still sleep deprived, since I am not used to getting that small amount of sleep. But all in all I had a wonderful weekend!

Jeep: The dirtest of all four letter words!
On Sunday, 9/12 we went on a Jeep Poker Run to benefit the Lange/Fuhs Cancer Center at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. We left from the Chateau in Mariah Hill around 12:00 P.M. and took to back roads and a few main highways to ventured up into Winslow, where we stopped at Bob Inn. We lined up around 2 plus blocks, many said that the population of the town quadrupled when we came to town. We then took off and headed for Oakland City New Lake. Then we traveled through coal mines and headed to Lynnville, where we filled a gravel lot full of Jeeps. From there we rolled on back to the Chateau, we made it back there around 5:00 P.M.! We then enjoyed some brats and prizes were away, and Brad won one! There were over 100 Jeeps that attened the event. We haven't heard what the total amout of money raised was but I am sure that it was a good amount! All in all we had a great time, the weather was great, the people were good, and the event was wonderful! We can't wait to go again next year!

Harvest Season
Oh, yes once again it's that time of year. Harvest season is upon us. So it's on to late nights, early mornings, and the interruption of this marriage..haha. So far it hasn't been too bad, but it's just the beginning. The guys started last Friday evening and are still hitting it decently hard today. Hopefully the weather will hold off for them so that they can get it all in early this year. There's nothing worse then starting on harvesting and then the rain coming in and not letting up, it makes for grouchy farmers!
